1.1 Submitted and Some Kind Words
November 6, 2008 by kidjan
Good news: 1.1 has been submitted! We’re confident that this release will really build on 1.0 and provide a much better experience. We were blown away by the response 1.0 got, but we feel that 1.1 is going to be a big improvement.
We definitely have had loads of constructive criticism, and we hope to receive far more in the future. That said, everybody loves to be flattered. Here are two short reviews on DaisyFeed. The first, from The Apple Blog:
Daisy Feed incorporates an immense array of features including feed ranking, favorites list, email integration and — this is the killer feature for me — auto-feed recognition. And, just in case you need that extra push to go grab the app right now, it looks gorgeous and is totally free.
The second, from antarjaal:
A free RSS reader. Better looking and performing than the “Free RSS Reader”. The autodiscovery of feeds also worked quite well. It allows for categorizing the feeds and has a separate screen for favorites.
To both, thank you for the kind words, and we hope 1.1 exceeds your expectations.

It seems that 1.1 crashes on startup after upgrading from 1.0. This was done on my iPod via app store with the latest firmware.
I too experience crashes on DaisyFeed 1.1, the flower screen shows up for a few sec and goes back to the home screen.
I have the same problem as Andrew. I tried removing all feed data and also the app completely from my iPhone and iTunes, powered down and up, downloaded and re-installed again but still no luck. Any idea?
BTW, mine is iPhone 3G with latest firmware, jailbreak. Does it matter?
After some investigation, I am lead to believe that the issue may be with jail broken phones. Is anyone experiencing this issue that is not on a jail broken phone?
We’re still investigating… we just need to gather some more data to determine the root cause.
Hang in there.
Thanks
the KREW
I gave non of the problems mentioned… my iPhone is not jailbroken.
Great app, very tidy interface. A couple of things I would like to see in future release:
- ability to refresh all feeds or at least all feeds in a group (as can be done with favourites).
- possibility to start at groups instead of favourites.
- ability to copy a feed definition (for several feeds from the same site)… In continuing absense of a copy/paste function from apple!
Congats on a great app.
Hi,
thks for your program but If you can upgrade some features :
1. Refresh all feed (all categories) with one click. Because I can only read offline feed (I m go to another country every week)
2. Strange feed don t work : by exemple http://www.joblo.com/newsfeeds/rss.xml
3. More facility for add feeds (example : automatic write http://www. )
Thks
Hey, I love your application and this is my first foray into the world of rss. So far, so good! The only feature I can think of that would really benifit this app would be the ability to bookmark, or save, individual rss posts.
Thanks!
Zast,
Thanks for the feature suggestions. I made a note to look into joblo to see if I can get it to work correctly. Regarding http://www, you _should_ be able to omit this portion of the url and have it work fine, but I’ll look into making a better method for dealing with that.
Thank you!

I have a “non” jail broken phone and it immediately would crash when launching until I managed to delete the Apple News link that comes with the app. Since then no problems. Excellent app the only suggestion I would like to see implemented is a notification of unread feeds on the home screen icon. It’s guess this would mean an auto update “push” feature. If you could enable this I would definately say Best App, ever, free or not.
I love the look and feel of this app. Never been an RSS man but after playing with this app decided to jump in.
Have a non jailbroken phone and it keeps crashing back to the home screen. Also I set up catagories and assigned my feeds there as well as editing a couple of feed names. If I exited cleanly or crashed out it would not save anything I had done except the favourites settings and the added feeds.
If it can not crash and save my settings I will jump straight back in.
Thanks for a great app. I know it is free and we can’t complain too much but these are two basic things.
Have a good day.
Great app! Love it! Tried most of the RSS feeds in the app store and Daisy Feed is hands down the best. Like Henry suggested.. It would be great to be able to save individual rss posts! Hopefully in the next update?!
